The central emergency department of the hospital (House 60A) is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year with specialists in (trauma surgery, surgery, internal medicine), all other specialties can be consulted at short notice.

Patients who have incurred accidents, acute emergencies or illnesses at work can register themselves at the Central Emergency Department. Access to the emergency room is via Leipziger Straße and is signposted. The tram stops at Fermersleber Weg and the University Clinic is about 100m away. Paid short-term parking is available in limited numbers.

At the patient registration, required personal details are taken and health insurance card is registered. Please bring the emergency aid pass and any existing allergy pass. We make sure that our patients do not have to wait long but sometimes it cannot be avoided, however it is shortened by an intelligent management system. We ask for your understanding that we treat patients from a medical point of view and therefore not always according to the order of registration.
