Sport Traumatology
The field of sports traumatology includes the diagnosis and treatment of chronic and
acute sports injuries in the wide and professional sports.
The most common injuries include:
- Joint injuries in the knee, ankle and shoulder area
- Cruciate ligament, meniscal and cartilage injuries
- Muscle, capsule, tendon and ligament injuries and irritations
- chronic (over) stress symptoms
In addition to a structured physical examination, the standard procedures such as sonography
and X-ray, but also modern slice imaging techniques (e.g., MRI and CT) are used to help
make the correct diagnosis, treat it accordingly and as fast as possible.
The following procedures are used, each case always processed individually and
is treated:
- Arthroscopic joint surgery of all major joints
- Minimally invasive surgical techniques
- Modern, open surgical procedures
- Physical therapy approaches
Our trauma clinic offers you a holistic, competent and evidence-based university
