Daily Routine on the Ward
After the operation has been performed, the focus is on regeneration and recovery from the operation. In the daily rounds from 6:45-7:30 am, a team of doctors will check in on your progress and well-being.
The care on the normal care ward takes place in 13 modern double rooms and four single rooms. The rooms have integrated bathrooms. Meals are delivered on trays by an outside company according to patients’ orders, which are taken the day before, or by arrangement.
Important components of the treatment are now an appropriate pain therapy and an intensive physiotherapeutic exercise program. In close cooperation with the Clinic for Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, personalized pain therapy is provided as required. Two physiotherapists are there to help you to get back on your feet so that you can enjoy life.
Depending on the disease, you only have to spend one night or a few days on our ward. The ward doctor will inform you of the date of your discharge at least one day in advance. You will receive a detailed report describing the course of your treatment and how to proceed. These letters are also the information basis for the general practitioner or surgeon who will continue to treat you.
The ward doctor is available daily from 8:00-16:00 for questions regarding your treatment. Should you or your relatives wish to have a consultation outside these hours, please call us on 0391/67 15525.
