Practical Year
The surgical training during the practical year takes place in conjunction with the surgical disciplines: general, visceral and vascular surgery, pediatric surgery, cardiac and thoracic surgery, plastic, aesthetic and hand surgery as well as accident surgery. A single rotation is also planned during the surgical PJ.
The PJ classification is carried out by OA Dr. Haß, teaching coordinator of the surgical subjects, as part of an introductory event. The surgical teaching team (see there) always endeavours to take your personal wishes into account. Our faculty-specific PJ logbook will accompany you during the rotation. It will help you to document and reflect on the acquired knowledge and skills in a structured and work accompanying way. You will also be required to assume responsibility for the acquisition and deepening of knowledge.
The contact person for students in the practical year in trauma surgery is our PJ representative Mr. J. Brauner. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Prof. Piatek, lecturer at our clinic.
